Art Exhibition at Guan ShanYue Art Museum in Shenzhen, 94 works shortlisted to celebrate and to showcase the rapid development of Shenzhen during the past three decades since the city became a Special Economic Zone. Welcome to China for Canton trade fair. HRC is pleasure to provide Guangzhou hotels booking, China tour guide and Indochina tour packages for you.
THE Guan Shanyue Art Museum reopened Tuesday after one year’s renovation, with two exhibitions specially arranged for the National Day holidays: the 11th China National Fine Arts Exhibition, and Guan Shanyue’s Overseas Sketches.
The spacious first floor has a thematic exhibition with various ancient artifacts, and other halls are devoted to natural history. Children will be sure to enjoy the stuffed elephant and giraffe at the entrance. Other animals are classified by their regions — desert, forest, arctic, and prairie.
Upstairs is more focused on the city itself. The ancient exhibit goes back 7,000 years, to prehistoric times and also dwells on the different dynasties, while the modern Shenzhen exhibit begins with the opium wars of 1840 until 1949. The displays teach about the many uprisings, wars, acts of colonial aggression, and revolutions of the past two centuries. There is also a folk culture exhibit concerning local Cantonese and Hakka culture, inside a replica of an old village.

Causeway Bay is one of the most iconic areas in Hong Kong; those photos you’ve seen of the city’s brightly lit, neon streets, packed with shoppers are usually of here. Many of the shops in this area keep their doors open until after 10p.m., while the crowds are simply phenomenal – they make New York or London look roomy. Several of the main streets have been pedestrianized to allow more room for shoppers, and Causeway Bay differs from other parts of Hong Kong, notably Central, in that the majority of the shops are on the street not in shopping malls. If you are interested in shopping, the ultra-modern Times Square, the Japanese department stores and the fashion boutiques should not be missed. Times Square, a symbol of Causeway Bay, is the biggest emporium in this area and one of the top ten scenic sites in Hong Kong. Many well-known brands of clothing can be found here. It is also the perfect place to hold large-scale activities. Every year on New Year's Eve, the New Year Countdown Ceremony is held here, and hundreds of thousands of locals participate. Lee Garden is another shop which is renowned for its luxury brand name clothing. It is also a place frequently visited by celebrities. The City Trade Centre is a favorite shopping venue for office workers.

Among all the beautiful water towns south of the Yangtze River, Wuzhen has become especially noted for its history and culture. Original ancient town scenery like bridges, waterways and houses are well-preserved. According to historical records, Xinchun Village in the East Village district of Wuzhen has relics from the Neolithic Period, belonging to the Majiabin civilization, 7000 years ago. Welcome to China for Canton Trade Fair. Here you can find a legacy from Warring States Period (475-221 BC) and hear stories of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (1851-1864). 161 first-degree scholars and 64 imperial scholars came from this town from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Many famous officials and intellectuals built their villas here. Mao Dun, the renowned modern Chinese writer’s former residence was also built here, adding to the atmosphere of culture and peace in this town.
The town is still a living village, where daily life goes on as it has for the last thousand years.silk-spinners, Coppersmiths, and wood-caver work at their age-old crafts. Rickshaw drivers exchange stories and talk to each other as they wait for passengers. People cart water, cook meals and tend their gardens. You find many locals gathering in a square happily playing chess, old grannies pushing cabbages in rickety wooden carts. They seem contented and most of all they seem to like observing the passing parade, which offers a rich source of amusement.
